Farmers Dialogue

At the initiative of the Permanent Centre of Initiatives for the Environment, (EIPC) (Theatre Foirail Chemillé (TFC) and Mauges (Regional Committee for Agricultural Development (CRDA) – the Local Chamber of Agriculture, a series of meetings were conducted in March and April 2013 and continue on the theme of Sustainable Food production.

FD-DRC chairman presents the fruits of FD’s work at a fair for innovation

The team of Farmers’ Dialogue in DR Congo has been active in 2014. It organized and participated in various functions both locally and beyond. The chairman attended an innovation fair at which he presented the fruits of FD work on food production. Earlier on Claude Bourdin of FDI visited the laboratory of CRSN during one of his visits.

Farmers Dialogue in Ukraine

Sixty farmers from Southern Ukraine met from March 5th to 9th in Krynychky, 100 kms from Dnepropetrovsk, to address factors that limit agricultural production in their country.

107 farmers from 13 countries met in Western Kenya for an East African Farmers’ Dialogue, to plan how to take farming beyond subsistence to feeding the continent. Presentations at the Dialogue demonstrated that Africa has the resources, both technical and human, within its borders to feed its people and lift the continent out of poverty.

From 9–12 October, farmers, consumers and scientists from 11 European countries did just that, meeting in the Italian city of Castel San Pietro, near Bologna.
